Lilliano Anagallis /95 1995

Lilliano Anagallis /95 750ml 1995
Sku: 9182

Anagallis takes its name from a small orange flower which is very common in Chianti.

Tasting notes
Colour: deep ruby red.
Nose: Ethereal, pervasive, complex with a bottom note of vanilla.
Palate: Full, harmonious, slightly tannic.

Wine maker notes
Anagallis is currently produced with Sangiovese (80%) Colorino (5%) and Merlot (15%) grapes grown in the "le Piagge" ,"la Ripa" and "Vignacatena" vineyards which enjoy southerly and easterly exposure, situated at altitudes between 290 and 330 metres above sea level.

After meticulous selection in the vineyard, the grapes undergo soft pressing and upon completion of malic fermentation in stainless steel containers, the wine is transferred to 225-litre oak barriques (made from wood grown in the Allier, Never and Troncai forests and subject to medium toasting), for 10 to 16 months, depending on the vintage and the structure of the wine.

Upon completion of ageing in wood the musts are blended in a single container to obtain a wine with consistent quality and characteristics. Ageing is completed with at least six months in the bottle in our cellars .
