The nebbiolo grapes for the classical Barbaresco come almost exclusively from family vineyards in the village of Treiso. To these are added a small quantity of grapes from some of the best vineyards in Barbaresco and San Rocco Sen d’Elvio. The grapes for Barbaresco are carefully selected. Each and every one is inspected to ensure perfection, and any grape that is not absolutely perfect is discarded. This Barbaresco has a glossy garnet colour with light ruby shades. The bouquet is intense and fragrant, with a hint of violets, cinnamon and vanilla. The palate is dry, full and vigorous, with overtones of peach. This wine has quiet power.
