Marquis de la Tour Brut

Marquis de la Tour Brut 750ml
Sku: 12867

The Loire Valley has often been called the “garden of France.” This pastoral landscape, with its gently rolling hills and majestic chateaux, is the largest sparkling wine region in France, outside of Champagne.

Tasting notes
Color - Pale gold with fine bubbles Bouquet - Delicate floral aromas coupled with citrus and melon Taste - Crisp, clean and light with fine bubbles, ripe melon and green apple flavors

Wine Enthusiast December 15, 2008 83 Points ------------------------------------------ Crisp pear and red apple flavors are the initial attraction of this fresh sparkler. ------------------------------------------ International Wine Review December 2008 86 Points ------------------------------------------ "Pale green straw with a fine mousse and medium beads. Citrus aromas with slight petrol notes. Light fruit flavors on the palate and bone dry. ------------------------------------------ WineBuzz November/December 2008 Bubbling Over ------------------------------------------ Very pale, with very fine, lively bubbles; lemony citrus aroma with hints of toast, nuts and burnt sugar; delicate yeasty apple flavor. Excellent value. ------------------------------------------ Wine Enthusiast December 2007 ------------------------------------------ Almonds and a strongly yeasty element are the main characters of this sparkling wine. Its full, but the fruit still has a texture to it, leaving a good acidity to finish. Good value, enjoyable wine. ------------------------------------------ WineBuzz November/December 2006 ------------------------------------------ Subtly toasty aroma with hints of lemon and delicate, lively mousse; light and refreshing with lemon-lime flavors and a crisp, bright finish. ------------------------------------------ Arizona Daily Sun October 19, 2006 Spirits for your Halloween treats ------------------------------------------ Make your own or buy a package of roasted, salted pumpkin seeds at the grocery store and serve with a dry sparkling wine for a superb pairing. One bargain is the Marquis de la Tour non-vintage "Brut, Loire Valley." ------------------------------------------

The dosage has been perfected to make a clean, fruity but dry sparkling wine of extraordinary quality at a very attractive price.
