Tasting notes

Garnet red colour. Intense and complex bouquet withnotes reminiscent of violet, liquorice and raspberry. Its flavour is full and robust with tannic texture.

Wine Spectator 94 points (Nov 30 2005) Subtle aromas of freshly sliced plums, blackberries and peaches. Full-bodied, with lots of fruit and a backbone of firm tannins. Toasted oak on the midpalate. This is a bold, structured red that needs time. I like it better than the 2000. Best after 2008. —J.S.
