||The history of Fattoria le Terrazze begins in 1882 on the foothills of Monte Conero in Numana at the time when the present winery was built. Ever since the end of the nineteenth century the Terni family has been producing Montepulciano grapes which find their natural habitat in the area.
Under the attentive guidance of winemakers, Federico Curtaz, today Antonio and Georgina Terni produce around 90.000 bottles of wine per year from hand-picked grapes grown on the farm’s vineyards which extend to around 16 hectares.
The Conero region is a particularly favourable area for the production of red wines so it’s hardly surprising that the winery’s most representative wine is Rosso Conero which is available as Rosso Conero DOC and as Sassi Neri Conero Riserva DOCG.
Alongside these wines, the winery also produces IGT Marche Chaos made from a blend of Montepulciano, Syrah and Merlot grapes, a Chardonnay named Le Cave, the new rose Pinkfluid and a traditional method sparkler Donna Giulia, obtained from Montepulciano grapes.
Fattoria Le Terrazze also produces an excellent quality extra virgin olive oil which is obtained from the Frantoio, Leccino and Pendolino varieties grown in the farm’s surrounding olive groves.
